Raksha Bandhan

Raksha bandhan is a holy festival of the Hindus. It is originally a north-Indian festival. The festival celebrates the purity of the brother-sister relationship. Raksha bandhan is also celebrated by the Sikhs. The sister prays for the brother’s well being through this ritual and the brother vows to protect his sister throughout his life. The festival is celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu lunar system. The festival is observed by various rituals. Let us have a look at some of the rituals that are observed on the eve of raksha bandhan.

  • The first ritual is, of course, related to the title of the festival. The festival is only complete when the sister ties the rakhi or the thread of love on the brother’s wrist. The belief is that the thread will protect the brother from all the harms that may come upon him.

  • Just like any other Indian festival, raksha bandhan is celebrated with great sense of festivity. Often the festival of brother-sister turns out to be a family reunion. The festival is incomplete without great food and tasty dishes are prepared to celebrate the day in a grand way.

  • One important aspect of any Indian festival is gift. Raksha bandhan is no exception. Traditionally, there is a legacy of various sorts of gift. Now days, chocolates have become a great means of expressing one’s love, gratitude, respect. The young generation is highly attracted towards chocolates and ChocoJaadu’s products, which are handmade, make for perfect gifts. It is a known fact that chocolate makes everyone happy. Thus, chocolates serve as great gifts because they are not expensive and can serve as a small token of love.

ChocoJaadu’s chocolates come in four flavors:

  • Choconuts- Chocolates made with nuts and raisins.

  • Chocochilli- These chocolates give you the flavor of chili.

  • Fruitychoco- Chocolates that have the flavor of fruits.

  • ChocoDark- A very traditional dark chocolate.
